What I want to know is since the government has the video of the pentagon being hit, why haven't they shown us? And how did that plane penetrate through the pentagon leaving that mysterious hole? Not to mention where in the heck was all the debris from the plane? I just can't believe that the plane disinegrated! And what about WTC 7, that is just totally strange.

My first idea was to do what blodie suggested, it seems like the only way to go if I don't decide to take a last minute trip. I actually thought about starting the talk off my mentioning the "rebellious" additude of Martain Luther and how his reflection on Romans 1:17 "The just shall live by faith" prompted him stop climbling the "holy" steps in a Catholic Cathedrial and begin his refromation. Keep the ideas coming guys.

The Dangers of Pride and a Rebellious Attitude rs p. 391§1-2
Here is what the information says...
Reacting to situations on the basis of pride
It was Satan who first allowed an overestimation of self to corrupt his heart. (Compare Ezekiel 28:17; Proverbs 16:5.) Pride is a divisive force in the world of which he is ruler, causing people to consider themselves better than those of other races, nations, language groups, and economic status. Even those serving God may need to root out remnants of such feelings. They also need to be on guard so that pride does not cause them to make major issues of minor matters, or become a barrier to their acknowledging their own faults and accepting counsel and thus benefiting from much loving help that Jehovah provides through his organization.—Rom. 12:3; 1 Pet. 5:5.
Manifesting a rebellious attitude toward authority
Rebellion began with Satan, whose name means “Resister.” By his defiance of Jehovah, Nimrod, whose name may mean “Let Us Rebel,” demonstrated that he was a child of Satan. Avoiding that spirit will prevent God-fearing persons from becoming defiant of secular rulers (Rom. 13:1); it will help minors to submit to the God-given authority of their parents (Col. 3:20); it will be a safeguard against sympathizing with apostates, who disrespect those whom Jehovah has entrusted with responsibility in his visible organization.—Jude 11; Heb. 13:17.
--------
I can't give this talk, if I get up there to give it I will focus on everything but the information. I haven't given a real talk in months, how did this happen? Fading is such a pain, help me out guys! Give me some ideas on what I can do with this situation. Thanks. -

Biting my tongue at last nights bookstudy
by GBSJG inso i went to last nights bookstudy which discusses 6 paragraphs of the daniel book so there was lots of room for comment.
the study itself already was pretty frustrating it was taken from chapter 17 paragraphs 24-29 and it goes on about how the fds has to be lead by jehovah because of all the prophecies of daniel that fits them (1335 days was this convention to that etc etc).
but the paragraphs also mention the failed prediction for 1925. here are some interresting quotes from the book: .

I too went through the same things. The most frustrating part was to hear these people talk about the "history" of the organization like they acutally knew what they are talking about. All they did was recite what the paragraph said!
The worst part about it is how the Society never admits that the organization itself was the proponent of the 1925 date. Instead it talks about how it was a "widley held view", something that seems unofficial and not taught by the leaders but instead was created by greedy believers amongst the membership. The reasoning for this goes beyond all logical sense.
As much as people would like to deny it, the WTS has become what it hates. They ridicule and belittle other religions for not basing all of their teachings on the bibile, but they themselves go way beyond scripture to gain strenght among the membership. Much of the prophecy in that study has been said to have been fullfilled during the time of the Macabees. People need to ask themselves, is there a benifit to the WTS if they choose an interpretation that favors their organization over one that favors history? Of course it does! All I have to say about this is Romans 2. If you want to judge other people for believing things that are unscriptual, then stop doing it yourself first. -

Barf Quote
by cosmic ini read a thread recently by stillawitness in which this person mentioned a "barf quote".
the term didn't seem extraordinary at the outset, but, throughout the day, i kept giggling and chortling over the term.
people would ask me what was "so funny", and all i could say was, "barf quote".

The same thing happened to me when I was reading what somebody was writing on the board about C.T. Russell. The made a referanse to his teachings as "magical wheat". I still laugh at that.
BarfQuote is a good one too. -

Does the Memorial generate BIG $ for the WTS?
by Scully ini'd never before thought of this angle for the memorial.
it makes sense though: they get people who have become inactive making an extra effort to show up and maybe donating some "guilt money" to make up for having missed a few months' worth of meetings.
they invite worldly people who perhaps take it for granted that when you go to "church" you drop something in the collection plate, and just automatically drop an offering in the contribution box.

There where no accounts at the memorial while I was doing them. If anything is generated, it must be very minimal.
